Every time you record and submit a session, Relic’s review team evaluates it. When a session is approved, points are automatically added to your account based on how long the recording was. The longer and more consistent your session, the more points you earn. This page explains how points are calculated, where to see them, and how to track changes to your balance.

How points are earned

Points are awarded per approved session. The amount you receive depends on the type and duration of your recording.

Task sessions

Points are awarded per approved task session. Your Average Task Points stat shows your typical point total for this session type.

Passive sessions

Passive recordings earn points on an hourly basis. Your Passive Hourly Points stat reflects your average rate for background capture sessions.
Points are only awarded after a session is reviewed and approved. Submitted sessions that are pending or rejected do not add to your balance.

Viewing your points balance

Open the Points section from the left sidebar in the Relic app to see your current balance and recent activity. The dashboard shows four summary cards at the top:
StatWhat it shows
Total PointsYour current points balance
Today’s PointsNet point changes since midnight
Average Task PointsYour average points per approved task session
Passive Hourly PointsYour average rate per hour of approved passive recording

Points chart

Below the summary cards, the Point Statistics chart displays your points history over time. Each bar represents a day’s worth of approved activity, broken down by session type - task, passive, and other adjustments.
The chart is interactive. Zoom in on any time range to examine a specific period in detail.
If you have not had any approved sessions yet, the chart area will show a placeholder until your first approval comes through.

Recent points activity

The Recent Points Activity panel on the right side of the dashboard shows a running log of individual point changes. Each entry includes:
  • A title describing the event (for example, the session name or reward type)
  • A description if additional context is available
  • The date and time the change was recorded
  • The point value, shown in green for gains
This log covers approved sessions, referral bonuses, and any manual adjustments made to your account.

Points milestones

Relic automatically tracks when you cross key points thresholds. Reaching 100, 500, or 1,000 points triggers a milestone notification inside the app.
Your first milestone. A notification appears in the app to mark the achievement.
A mid-tier milestone that confirms you are consistently submitting and getting approved.
The top automatic milestone. Reaching this level means you have built a reliable submission habit.

What your points show

Your points balance is the main record of approved activity, referral bonuses, and other point adjustments in Relic. Use the Points dashboard and recent activity feed to understand how your balance changes over time.
Your total Points Earned is also visible in your profile. Open Account Settings and navigate to the Profile tab to see it alongside your referral code.
